The Little Prince

Description

This edition of a favourite and much-loved title, previously illustrated in black and white, presents the illustrations in full colour throughout. Original illustrations by the author are faithfully reproduced, and have been sensitively coloured by Barbara Frith, one of Britain's most accomplished colourists. The Little Prince is a wonderful and remarkable book which will enchant both children and adults alike. It is a strange and wonderful parable for all ages, championing the beauty and wisdom of childhood which fades when one becomes 'a grown up'. This is a specially commissioned new translation by Ros and Chloe Schwarz.

Young children will love colouring in the clothes of the cute boy and girl characters as they get dressed for lots of different situations in this great new colouring book. The characters are dressed for lots of different seasons and events, including playing in the garden, having fun at the beach, out on a rainy day, going to a party and playing football. The pre-coloured backgrounds make completing the scenes easy for young children and there are plenty of bright and colourful stickers to add to make each scene unique. The Grunfeld Defence is one of the most aggressive openings at Black's disposal. He creates immediate imbalance and plans to strike at White's centre with all available resources. An insipid response from White may not even retain equality, so in the main lines he takes up the gauntlet: he creates a large pawn-centre and puts this to use to launch an attack. While the theory of these lines has been extensively developed, there is a coherent logical thread running through them: the Grunfeld is essentially The Little Prince pdf an opening of grand ideas, which need to be understood well in order to get to grips with the theory and handle the resulting positions. This book provides a discussion of all major lines, and a special contribution from Viacheslav Eingorn on the key ideas of the Rb1 Exchange main line, which he was instrumental in developing in the 1970s and 1980s.
